Introduction
From family farm to charming farmhouse In 2020, we first developed plans to renovate Jolle's family farm into a contemporary farmhouse. The goal was to breathe new life into this familiar place and create a cozy home where mother could live comfortably, while preserving the farm's rural charm. During the renovation, two temporary living units were built in the freestall barn. These served as pleasant accommodations during the construction years. After an intensive period of planning, building, and finishing, we finally moved into the beautifully renovated farmhouse in 2025. The two apartments in the freestall barn, where we ourselves lived happily for three years, are now being repurposed. They are being transformed into charming holiday apartments, so that guests can also enjoy the peace, space, and rural character of this special place. What began as an ambitious plan in 2020 has grown into a warm home and a place to share.
