
De Hofsjonger is a detached and wheelchair-friendly barn conversion located on the grounds of Longhorn Ranch Hasthem Hoeve in Baaium. The home is situated peacefully among the meadows, yet is easily accessible. The house is suitable for up to 4 people and has two bedrooms. One bedroom has two electrically adjustable beds and the other bedroom has a bunk bed. Thanks to the adapted sanitary facilities, De Hofsjonger is also very suitable for guests in wheelchairs. Inside, you will find a modern kitchen equipped with a coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator with freezer compartment, combination microwave, dishwasher, and induction hob, among other amenities. The living area overlooks the meadow and features a TV and free Wi-Fi. Outside, there is a terrace with garden furniture.

Hasthem Hoeve is a nature-inclusive farm in Baaium where agriculture, nature, food, education, and recreation come together. Texas Longhorns, English Longhorns, sheep, and Friesian horses, among others, graze on the grounds of this Longhorn Ranch. There are also chickens, a picking garden, an orchard, a farm shop, and trial fields with heirloom crops. Visitors can come here for peace, space, and a rural experience. Various activities are available, such as a Longhorn safari by covered wagon or tour boat, guided tours, workshops, and educational sessions on soil, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture. The covered wagon and sloop are accessible to guests using a wheelchair or walker.
Nature cottages Hasthem Hoeve are located on the grounds of the Longhorn Ranch in Baaium. This small mound village lies amidst meadows, villages, and water. Around the cottages, Longhorn cattle, sheep, and horses graze, among other animals. There are also free-range chickens, a picking garden, and a farm shop on the premises. From Baaium, you can enjoy great walking and cycling through the Greidhoeke. Franeker is located about 8 kilometers away and is known for the Royal Eise Eisinga Planetarium. Harlingen is about 15 kilometers away and is a lovely place for a day at the Wadden Sea or a crossing to Terschelling or Vlieland.
