Studio de Kraak is equipped with a comfortable double bed (160), a private bathroom in the church tower and a kitchen with a hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge. In addition, coffee lovers can enjoy a Nespresso machine and there is a kettle for tea. De Kraak is a spacious room and has a separate library that functions as a cosy living room. There is also free Wi-Fi.

B&B Mauritiuskerk is located in the picturesque village of Jirnsum and is situated exactly where the western and eastern routes of the Jabikspaad (Jacobusroute) meet. The two studios in the B&B have beautiful historical elements and are fully equipped (private kitchenette). What could be more fun than spending the night where the organ used to be?
Location
Jirnsum is a historic village from the 7th century. It is centrally located on the river De Boarn in the municipality of Leeuwarden. Surrounded by meadows and lakes, it is the perfect base for exploring Friesland. You can cycle, walk, sail, practice yoga or just relax on a terrace or in our church garden. Nearby you will find cozy villages such as Akkrum, Terherne and Grou, full of nice shops and cafes. For a complete city experience, Leeuwarden, Sneek and Heerenveen are a short distance away.

The Kraak Studio is located on the former balcony, also called "de Kreake" in Frisian, where a 16th century Van Dam organ once stood.

Introduction
After living abroad for 20 years, my family and I returned to my native Friesland. From the big city of Beijing to the village of Jirnsum. A big change in landscape but oh how we enjoy nature and the peace and space here. We also enjoy it when our guests are having a good time, when they have cycled a beautiful route, taken a nice boat trip or just read a book in the garden. Our guests have a lot of privacy in the studios and can choose to make their own breakfast or have us take care of it, I always do this with great pleasure. Usually we give a tour of the building, we show how we live in a former church, we show the clock and for those who dare, the bell. Of course we also tell you more about the building and our vision.
Tips from the host
My tips for our guests, good food at the 2 Gemeenten in the village, rent a boat at Bauke. But also a visit to my favorite city Franeker and of course the Eise Eisinga Planetarium should not be missed. I myself paint and am an art lover, I always encourage our guests to visit the unique Jopie Huisman museum in Workum.
