Omke Jan is a 'Burgundian' meeting place in Woudsend on the Elfstedentocht route, where you can eat, drink, sleep and experience. Everything comes together in a modern inn under the roof of an authentic Frisian farmhouse, modernly renovated under the direction of designer Piet Hein Eek and architect Iggie Dekkers. Enjoy food without frills and take a seat around the wood-burning oven or at the regular table.
Location
This atmospheric hotel with five rooms is located in the heart of Woudsend, decorated by Piet Hein Eek. You look out over the river Ee (part of the Elfstedenroute!) and the still working sawmill. You can step straight from the hotel into the attractive village of Woudsend, where you will find various shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Woudsend is centrally located and you can drive to the Elfsteden Sneek, IJlst or Sloten within 20 minutes. You can also make beautiful cycling and walking tours from Woudsend.
