In this house, you have your own floor at your disposal, which is accessible via a sturdy fixed staircase. This provides you with two bedrooms and a cozy seating area with a radio and TV. One of the bedrooms features a double bed, and the other has two single beds. There is also a chemical toilet and a sink with hot and cold water on the floor. Showering is available on the ground floor in the shared bathroom. The pleasant garden includes several seating areas where you can enjoy the beautiful weather, for example, under the pear tree. From the rooms on the first floor, you enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. There is a garden terrace where the owner sells coffee/tea, pastries, and ice cream.

Scharnegoutum is a pleasant village near Sneek, including a supermarket and bakery. If you are looking for the bustle of a city, you can drive to the center of Sneek in less than 10 minutes with a pleasant shopping center, various restaurants and cafes. You can also visit the Fries Scheepvaart Museum or the Modelspoor Museum here.

Tips from the host
We live on the Elfstedentocht route. From Leeuwarden it is 26 km to Scharnegoutum. The St Odulphus path also has two routes that run past our house. The World Heritage Planetarium in Franeker is a must and you should definitely see it. You can relax on the Sneekermeer. There is a water ski slope and a water amusement park which is great fun for children. Beach and restaurant also on "de Potten", Offingawier. In Sneek you can visit the shipping and railway museum. You can walk from our house through the meadows to Reahûs and Turns. There is also an opportunity to fish near our house. We ourselves have a garden terrace where it is wonderful to sit with a wide view to Sneek and Bolsward. You sometimes see deer in front of the house, but certainly hares and swans.
