Located in Stavoren, on the edge of the former Zuiderzeedijk, you will find this beautiful former town hall. Nowadays, you can spend the night here comfortably and it offers a good base for exploring Stavoren. Walk to one of the restaurants, the 11Fountains fountain or stand on the lookout like the Lady of Stavoren. Stavoren is beautifully situated on the edge of Gaasterland, where you can make beautiful bike rides. Other Eleven Cities towns such as Hindeloopen and Workum are a maximum of 20 minutes by car.

Guests can use the hybrid hot tub (electric + wood-fired) (for a small fee for energy), we also have a green egg BBQ, if you want to eat in the garden. We charge a small fee for charcoal unless you bring your own.

Introduction
Hello, my name is Michel van Woudenberg. After living abroad for 20 years, I returned to the Netherlands in 2024 and now live in the former town hall of Stavoren (a.d. 1889) with my wife Anita and we decided that we wanted others to experience the unique location directly on the IJsselmeer 'dike' with a view over the water. From your penthouse you feel like a captain on a ship and with the view to the west every sunset is different and sometimes breathtaking.
Tips from the host
You walk straight from the garden onto the dike and the old harbour is then a few hundred metres to the right. You can use the wood-fired hot tub in the garden for a small fee (tell me in advance so I can prepare it for you). I have lots of tips for you about what to do and see in the area, including all kinds of water sports.
