Tucked away on the outskirts of Sneek, behind the city farm, lies a small camping field, surrounded by nature. Nothing straightforward, but organic and naturally landscaped with abundant biodiversity. The campsite is especially suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, roof tents, and smaller caravans. There's also space for larger campers (on the paved part of the property). Horses, cows, and chickens live on the farm, and there's a food forest and vegetable garden. Wander around and enjoy the birds (over 75 species!), butterflies, and flowers in the yard.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Sneek, on Ivige Leane (Eternal Lane), behind the city farm, lies a small, naturally landscaped camping field. Sustainable travelers, young families, and adventurers of all ages feel right at home here. No frills or unnecessary luxury. Simply a place to unwind, admire the life around you, and celebrate life. Johannes and Herma are happy to welcome you and tell you all about this place, our plans, and what there is to do in the area. Explore our young food forest, connect with the horses, and pick your own fresh herbal tea. Our chickens provide fresh eggs, and the bakery is a five-minute bike ride away.
Location
The small Stadsboerderij campsite is located just outside Sneek, a 10-minute bike ride and a 30-minute walk from the city center. The campsite's surroundings are rural, and from here you can walk or cycle straight into the meadows on quiet roads and paths. The Sneekermeer recreational beach, where you can swim, waterski, and sail, is 7 km away. Cycling there is easy and safe. If you prefer to drive, there's always ample parking. Eleven cities, such as Bolsward (10 km) and IJlst (4 km), are easily accessible by bike. If you want to venture a little further, you can also easily visit Stavoren, Franeker, Workum, and Leeuwarden.

Special about this accommodation
Our campsite is perfect for couples and young families. The field has plenty of paths and a swing. For older children, there's a sunken trampoline a little further down the property where they can play to their heart's content. A wide variety of edible herbs, flowers, and fruits grow on the property, and you're welcome to pick them freely. Freedom, biodiversity, and a cozy atmosphere are the key words of our campsite.

Introduction
We are Johannes and Herma, together for 20 years and parents of three teenagers. Herma is from Sneek and Johannes from Iens, true locals, even though we weren't raised speaking Frisian (though we understand everything!). We both come from large families and love conviviality and bustle. We've seen a lot of the world, but our hearts lie here, at Ivige Leane 24. For us, it doesn't get any more beautiful than our farmhouse, tucked away behind a long driveway and surrounded by nature. Our own little eco paradise near Sneek, the best of both worlds!
Tips from the host
A ten-minute bike ride takes you to the center of Sneek, full of charming terraces, unique shops, and delicious restaurants. Along the way, you'll pass through the Zwettebos forest (actually a city park) where your dog is also welcome to run free. Fancy a day on the water? Then head to De Potten recreational beach at Sneekermeer lake, where you can swim, waterski, canoe, and sail. Be sure to also visit the 11-city districts, such as Workum, Bolsward, and Hindeloopen!
