Introduction

Tornado Yachting, your sailing partner since 1992 Tornado Sailing Makkum B.V., trading as Tornado Yachting, was established in 1992 through the merger of five Sneek yacht charter companies: Van der Meulen, Moed, Frisia Yachtcharter, Tornado Yachting, and Gessport. This merger immediately established Tornado Yachting as a leading player in Frisian watersports, with a large customer base and a modern rental fleet. To meet the growing demand for larger charter vessels, we moved to our current location in Makkum in 2007. Here, in a unique location overlooking the IJsselmeer, the Frisian Lakes, and the Wadden Sea, we were able to further develop our quality, innovation, and service. In 2012, I, Jurre-Jan Muurling, took over Tornado Yachting. At the time, the rental fleet consisted of six boats, and the focus was on selling Delphia Yachts. We have since grown into a full-service watersports company.
