The Magnolia Room is the smallest, yet it feels warm and inviting. You'll sleep in a large double bed surrounded by soft pink accents. Introduction
Your hosts are Henri and Lidie Maré. Born and raised in South Africa, they value hospitality highly. They've gained a wealth of experience during their travels, which they're happy to use to pamper you. They continue the breakfast tradition started by the previous owners, Peter and Ans, but also add their own unique touch. The three-course breakfasts are always freshly prepared, featuring plenty of fruit and regional products.

It feels like coming home. More than 170 years after Jonkheer Van Swinderen built an inn in Hemelum, you'll still receive a warm welcome. The delicious three-course breakfast, all the coffee and tea you want, and a drink upon arrival will make your stay a true celebration. Experience the comfortable luxury of our guest rooms, complete with en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and TV. Dinner is served upon request in our lounge with a fireplace, or in the garden on sunny days. The B&B is located near the Morra, one of the many Frisian lakes, and the forests and cliffs of the Gaasterland region. Nearby are cycling and hiking trails, IJsselmeer beaches, birdwatching huts, golf courses, and picturesque towns like Hindeloopen, Stavoren, Oudemirdum, and Balk.
