Concert Duo Sail Away
Johan Keus and Jannie Brandsma will perform "Duo Sail Away" at the Hobbe van Baerdt Church. Duo Sail Away moves between pop, blues, rock, and classical music. They also create space for soundscapes and meditative music. Johan plays acoustic and electric guitar and has a keen sense of what a moment calls for. He provides soothing background music in a restaurant and can just as easily get a party going. He also plays improvised music during exhibitions, meditations, and satsangs. Their repertoire includes songs by Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, and Neil Young, among others. They also play music from Spain and South America, such as samba, rumba, and bossa nova. Spanish classical guitar pieces by Fernando Sor, Matteo Carcassi, and Mauro Giuliani will also be featured.

The concert will take place at the Hobbe van Baerdt Church, Midstraat 67, 8501 AE, Joure. Free parking is available at Waagplein, at the foot of the church.

The aim of the foundation is to provide financial support for the maintenance and use of the church and to make this church useful for the entire (Jouster) society. The church at Midstraat 69 in the center of Joure is ideal for organizing many small-scale events. This includes social gatherings such as courses, conferences, etc. The church building is also suitable for musical and literary performances. The building can also be used for organizing markets, weddings/parties and as a meeting location or rehearsal space for theater groups/dance groups.
