IJsselmeer tour

Spend an afternoon on an old-fashioned wooden fishing vessel, the last Blazer in the Netherlands, called the TX33 'Poolster'. 90 m2 of brown sail takes you to the IJsselmeer where you hear the stories about the old fishing industry. In the meantime, enjoy an original Blazerkoek from Mrs. de Molenaar, and hoist the flax sails with us. Experience the Frisian coast from the water! This beautiful ship was built in 1918 at the shipyard 'De Hoop' of Ulbe Zwolman in Workum, commissioned by fisherman Cornelis Drijver from Texel. The TX33 is owned by the Behoud Blazer TX33 Foundation and runs entirely on volunteers. The financial proceeds will go entirely to the maintenance of the TX33. Safety: the organization pays a lot of attention to the safety of the ship and those on board. The required legal safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguishers and emergency pumps) is on board. The ropes and specific parts of the ship (mast, boom and gaff) are regularly checked. Sailing takes place with a certified skipper; the crew is trained annually.
