Evening cruise on De Palingaak
Take an evening cruise from Heeg aboard Palingaak Korneliske Ykes II. This barge is a reconstruction of the old eel barges and tells the story of the former eel trade by sea. You will sail across Lake Heeg: one of the many Frisian lakes in Friesland. On board, you will be offered a drink and a snack, including smoked eel for those who enjoy it. The cost is €27.50 for adults and €17.50 for children. By purchasing this, you also support the De Palingaak Foundation in keeping this special ship afloat.

Location
The eel barge is located at the head of the old harbor basin: De Skatting 81, 8621 BV in Heeg. Parking is available at various locations in Heeg. Please allow for extra (walking) time as a result.
Important to know
Please arrive fifteen minutes before departure time. Sailing clothing is available on board, and there are also plenty of life jackets. Please avoid shoes with leather soles. Dress warmly depending on weather conditions. The Palingaak organization will check if sailing is actually possible. The trip will proceed if at least 6 people (over 8 years old) have registered. The maximum number of people is 12.
