Time travel through central Friesland
Discover the unique stories of central Friesland. From the grandeur of royal Oranjewoud to the poor but beautiful peat colonies. Touring in our unique 1958 vintage buses, we'll take you through the most beautiful landscapes. We'll traverse the lower central region and tour the charming old villages, hamlets, and villages, such as Oranjewoud, Bontebok, Aldeboarn, Terherne, and Joure. Naturally, with the most wonderful stories, jokes, and anecdotes from our time-travel guide, Yde. A school trip feel and a pit stop with coffee/tea and orange cake are included! Prefer a different or shorter route? Then check out 'Time Travel through Lakes and Gaasterland' (4 hours) or 'Time Travel through Gaasterland' (2.5 hours)!

Start: Jetze Veldstraweg 46A, Ouwsterhaule (National Public Transport Museum). Ample free parking is available.
Important to know
Please arrive at the vintage bus fifteen minutes in advance so you can find a seat. The guide and driver will be waiting for you. The bus departs promptly at 1:00 PM. You can purchase tickets until 6:00 PM the day before your tour. The tour will proceed if there are at least 18 reservations. You will be notified by email no later than 7:00 PM the day before the scheduled tour. If not, you may choose another day or cancel. Guest safety is our top priority. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the tour may be rescheduled (for example, dangerously slippery conditions, or a code orange or red warning). In that case, your tickets will remain valid for an alternative date. You will be notified by email as soon as possible.

As a Frisian Storyteller, I let guests experience the stories of Friesland by taking them on a tour through the Frisian countryside. I organize various tours: -Through Southwest Friesland, past the Frisian Lakes and through Gaasterland. This tour lasts 4.5 hours and starts at the National Public Transport Museum in Ouwsterhaule. -Through Central Friesland, past the Royal Oranjewoud up to the poor peat colonies. This tour also starts at the National Public Transport Museum in Ouwsterhaule. -Through Gaasterland. This tour lasts 2.5 hours and starts at Hotel Jans in Rijs. -Time Travel Zuiderzee.
