Time travel through the Zuiderzee
Take a journey through time in the former Zuiderzee region with cheerful guide Yde. You board an old FRAM bus from 1971 and embark on a tour full of stories. Along the way, you will hear how the former islands of Urk and Schokland changed and how the largest land reclamation project of that era came about. You will also drive past vast bulb fields and through old Zuiderzee towns and villages such as Lemmer, Kuinre, and Blokzijl. It is an afternoon full of historical stories, surprising anecdotes, special places, and humor. And, of course, the school trip fun! The photo of Urk is from Tourist Info Urk.

Important to know
Please arrive at the vintage bus fifteen minutes in advance so that you can find a seat at your leisure and the bus can depart on time at 12:30. The tour will go ahead if there are at least 15 registrations. The price includes coffee, tea, and a genuine local delicacy along the way.

As a Frisian Storyteller, I let guests experience the stories of Friesland by taking them on a tour through the Frisian countryside. I organize various tours: -Through Southwest Friesland, past the Frisian Lakes and through Gaasterland. This tour lasts 4.5 hours and starts at the National Public Transport Museum in Ouwsterhaule. -Through Central Friesland, past the Royal Oranjewoud up to the poor peat colonies.
