Experience the stories of Aldeboarn: a walk through time
Together with Museum De Waach, time travel guide Yde Wierda, and Eetcafé De Gondel, you will discover the historically rich town of Aldeboarn in a fun and relaxed way. During a walk through the village, the guide will tell the stories of one of the oldest places in Friesland. You will pass by special places and historic buildings such as the church, the house of Paulus Folkertsma, and the museum in the old weigh house. The afternoon begins at the centuries-old inn Eetcafé De Gondel with coffee or tea and a piece of orange cake. Afterwards, you will set off through the village with the guide. As a Frisian Storyteller, I let guests experience the stories of Friesland by taking them on a tour through the Frisian countryside. I organize various tours: -Through Southwest Friesland, past the Frisian Lakes and through Gaasterland. This tour lasts 4.5 hours and starts at the National Public Transport Museum in Ouwsterhaule. -Through Central Friesland, past the Royal Oranjewoud up to the poor peat colonies. This tour also starts at the National Public Transport Museum in Ouwsterhaule. -Through Gaasterland. This tour lasts 2.5 hours and starts at Hotel Jans in Rijs. -Time Travel Zuiderzee.
